JIM HENSON has spent his professional career of 27 years building over 10,000 units of single family and multi-family housing. Mr. Henson also has extensive experience building commercial facilities, rehabilitating existing properties, and constructing residential units over a concrete podium. Mr. Henson specializes in construction of multi-family developments from design through completion. Prior to joining PWB, Mr. Henson was the Vice President of Construction for three major homebuilders in northern California responsible for all aspects of construction and development with revenues totaling more than one billion dollars. Mr. Henson’s experience with urban, high density development includes overseeing every aspect of complex infill and redevelopment projects such as Cahill Park in San Jose, California. Located in the historic Midtown district of downtown San Jose, the high density development situated over podium parking encompasses beautiful living space, close proximity to downtown attractions, and easy access to transit. As the Vice President of Construction, Mr. Henson worked with architects to make Cahill Park to be distinctive townhome design that delivers 4 bedroom floor plans with attached 2-car garage parking in a traditional shingle and clapboard style that harkens back to the charm of small town row houses, while maintaining a dense urban environment.
Another example of Mr. Henson’s expertise that bolsters the experience and knowledge of Pacific West Communities team is Whisman Station in MountView, California. Mr. Henson was involved in one of the initial construction phases of this transit-oriented development that has light rail service at the steps of multi-family residential development.
KENNETH THIEL is the Construction Manager and has been with Pacific West Builders, Inc. since September 2004. Mr. Thiel is the Qualifying Person for the State of Arizona and the State of Nevada Contractor’s licenses. Mr. Thiel oversees the multi-million dollar projects through coordinating trades, developing partnerships, building positive rapport with the design team, local officials, subcontractors/vendors, and PWC while maintaining costs. Mr. Thiel expertise lies in team building, critical path management, permitting & building code, construction planning & scheduling, budget analysis, estimating & job costing, conflict & crisis management, quality control, safety & compliance, vendor/subcontractor, and material management.
SHANE PETERSON graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from California Poly-Technic University San Louis Obispo in 1971. Mr. Peterson has been in the construction industry for 30 years and has maintained a California General Contractors license since 1977. Mr. Peterson has been involved in many areas of construction including bidding, general contractor, superintendent, and currently holds the position of Construction Manager for Pacific West Builders, Inc.
ZACK DEBOI graduated Cum Laude from Northwest Nazarene University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. He has held the C.F.O. position at Pacific West Builders, Inc. since inception and is heavily involved in nearly all facets of corporate operation. Mr. Deboi coordinates development funding, payables and receivables, budgeting and profitability, dispute resolution, and human resources.
